Hello everyone :)

I want to explore this size a bit more. I already bought the Tatuaje Lanceros 10 pack sampler (didn't smoked it yet, too cold outside).

I was wondering what cigar do you guys smoke in this size ?

I'm definitely sticking around for this one, I've been curious about this size and am looking for some Lanceros to try out!

7-20-4 Lancero is in my opinion the best one available in the US. CA gave it a 92.

I am actually smoking one as we speak

Regius is another I would add to HIM's list. But if you already have the Tat sampler you have a good start.

You have a damn good start with the tat sampler.....These are great suggestions too. I personally would add the opus petite lancero, the anejo 888 (if you can find one), Edgar Hoill Lancero, and the Herrera Esteli lancero (again, if you can find it)....smallbatch also has the caldwell eastern standard in a lancero size but I haven't tried it.

DPG Blue has a really nice lancero, although it can be tough to find in stock sometimes.

If it comes in a lancero, I smoke it in a lancero.

Padron makes a lancero in the X000 blend. Needs at least a year in the humidor, and then it's definitely a Padron-flavored lancero.

Blanco Cigar Nine. (Formerly Los Blancos Nine) First lancero I ever smoked, and still one of the best.

262 Paradigm - for my dollar, the best NC lancero on the market. However, see next suggestion.

PDR Capa Madura - at its price point, the best NC lancero on the market for me. When you say "Brazilian Maduro wrapper" and "Lancero" about the same cigar, I'm all over it like clowns on a small car. 262 Paradigm also uses a Brazilian wrapper, and is definitely the better cigar. But it also carries a higher price tag.

For a little lighter flavor profile, try Oliva V.

Try Illusione HL in every wrapper you can find - they're all great, and comparing them is a treat.

There are a couple of lanceros I am VERY partial to that must not be mentioned in this forum.

A fantastic value in taste and build quality is the pig-tailed lance from El Estilo Cubano.
The Asylum Lancero is mind-blowing for those of us who like a strong, and/or spicey smoke.

I didn't read all the posts in this thread, but my recommendation as far as lanceros are these:

Cain F
My Father #4
Illusioune HL
Gran Habano Corojo #5
Tatuaje Black PL

That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now.

Been thinking about trying the Tatuaje sampler myself. My top three are
Illusione HL
Herrera Estelli
Room 101

The Herrera Esteli Lance is the best I have had of the vitola so far.

anyone have tried the Rocky Patel Super Ligero Lancero ? I usually like his product, and there is some good review on this stick... but not in this size.

The only RP lancero I've ever had was the Edge maduro - ran across some in a B&M in San Diego a few years ago, and picked up a fiver. Never saw them before that, and haven't seen them since. Too bad - they were right tasty.

I just did this past weekend. Beautiful construction and draw. Very, very full-bodied smoke. I would certainly recommend it for all lance fans.

I'll be watching this thread for sure. I was bombed a Lancero sampler of sorts today from a brother on another forum. I mentioned to him that I'd never tried a Lancero. He hit me with this:

If I'm not mistaken, all of these were already suggested. Looking forward to burning these.

I don’t have a lot to judge by, but lanceros are becoming one of my favorites. I may be wrong, but I feel I get the best flavor profile when I smoke one of them. Better wrapper to filler ratio...maybe… or I’m imagining it. I also do enjoy the size quite a bit, nice and long but not a large ring gage.

Add CAO's Flathead 642 Piston to the mix. I can handle a box-press as long as it's squared, and these are. Yummy.

Is the Estilo the cigar from Ventura cigar? If so, that's a decent smoke for $5...

The Los Blancos Nine is one of my favorite cigars. I had no idea they changed the name. I love that cigar.

I'm looking at some Oliva Vs in lancero also, how do those compare to the double robustos?

+1 to this list. The Regius Justin listed above are truly outstanding cigars and IMO the best Lancero I have
smoked to date.

Yes, bought another the other night from a B&M for $3.95. TheY're under $3-per when you buy a bundle.
