I use Bovedas. I like that they are much easier to spread around to get the humidity right in every nook and cranny. If I weren't so cheap I'd probably get one for each tray as well and just lay it right on top of the cigars. I tried beads for a while, but I figured that I could spread the goodness around more with the Bovedas. I can also recharge them individually.

Well just pulled the trigger, one large tote from the source you posted as well as 3 trays and a caliber 4R hygrometer from Kayla @cheaphumidors this will makeup my winter storage solution and overflow when I go to a wineador this summer! Thanks for the help and good suggestions Rob!

The Spanish Cedar trays from Cheaphumidor.com are great. I have 12 of them in my tower and get about 30 sticks in each. I also have a cooler for storage of some of my sticks. It holds humidity well and only needs to have the humidifier charged every 6 months. My Tupperware works well also, but it just looks cheap.

Just received my box, it's bigger than I expected! I'll have some work to do filling this bad boy up! What do you do to get the plasticky smell out?

You could crumple some newspaper and leave it in there. I also think people with winadors wipe down the interior with a baking soda wash, but I would check on that. I just left mine open for a few days.

A friend of mine urinates in the box, seals it, lets it sit overnight, then washes it out with bleach

I like them because they have a great seal, are somewhat see-through, and pretty inexpensive.

Not sure if it matters but according to their site: "These watertight totes are not food grade plastic. At this time we do not have any watertight food grade/safe plastic."

I always use a baking soda paste and then after rinsing let it air dry in the sun for a couple of days. This usually removes any odors the plastic emits.
