Steve, @Old Smokey , that is really cool! Nice acquisition!

I decided it was time for a proper ashtray. The old coffee can was no longer good enough. That's a robusto just for size comparison.

Not that new, but my wife round me this tiny antique smoking stand on craigslist a few months back. Perfect height for next to my chair in the garage.

From what little I could find it was made by H.T Cushman Manufacturing Company in Bennington Vermont sometime prior to 1940 or so. They apparently had an entire line of smoking stands and tables. Some with accessory drawers, some with copper lined humidors built in. The ashtray and paint are original. The base is a little loose and it is missing two smaller ashtray stands that went with it.
Fun piece! :clappy:
I recently picked up a Savinelli leather 2-pipe murse. Much classier on trips and outings than throwing a bunch of random crap into a ziploc bag :)
A little Xmas gift to myself !
Bought a couple of Modus cigar tools. These were designed and are made by a BOTL on another forum and I've wanted something a little nicer than the crude tools I've been using.
The craftsmanship on these is top notch and they are more heavy duty than I thought, looking at the pictures.
Nubber on one end, draw tool on the other (i put both Modus in the picture to show both ends)
Merry Christmas to me !

Yes, I should have turned it in the pic so it showed better - it looks like 2 dark spots in the pic I posted. There are 2 slits on each side to help remove some bits of loose tobacco to open it up. They start at about 3/4" and go to about 2", alternating sides.
Indeed, these have GOT to have barbs cut into them! The more the merrier. If you can't excavate tobacco from a plugged stick, once the baccy heats up, you're worse off than when you started.
Back in the day, I consulted with one of the original makers of such tools; "Boom". He was making great looking tools at the time, but they lacked the barbs.
It's nice to know one has, in some way, influenced posterity. ;)
@WNYTONY those look awesome! I see its available on amazon. Is that the best way to purchase them?
Then I should say thank you because they work great !
Yes - price is the same either way and free shipping on Amazon. There is a Maduro that is darker and a Rosado (one I got) that is lighter and I know he mentioned having a few Claro (those aren't listed on Amazon) - I'll have to see if I can get a pic of those. No, they aren't green lol
Here it is. He says he only has a few so you need to order direct.

I got the blue/black blade XO and the jet black Xidris for Christmas! Couldn't be happier. I love Xikar!
My nephew bought me the Alec Bradley Burner table lighter for Christmas. It looks good and works well also...

Wife bought me a Newair for Xmas that will be known as #3 so I needed a little wood for the build and shelf dividers and such. I also ordered some to convert a few of the shelves (drawers and shelves ordered from Forrest) into trays that I like in the top 2 slots.
Also had to get some to pimp out wino #2 which is all boxes. Leftovers for the cooler and such.
I've ordered several times from him and at this point he counts about as good as you do so there were some extras.....
Have any of you had dealings with Forrest at Wineadors.com before? I placed an order back in May for two shelves, but haven't heard from him since October. Sent a few emails since then, but no replies. I know it usually takes a while, but 8-9 months for shelves seems a bit much.
Send him another e-mail. I have ordered drawers from him before and just placed another order. He's not great about checking and responding to e-mails but he eventually does. 8-9 months sounds like an order was lost - shelves are pretty standard and shouldn't take that long.
Let me know if you don't hear from him and this doesn't get cleared up Farrell and I'll get to him.
3lbs 70% humidity beads from Cheap humidors.
I have dealt with him before and have nothing but good things to say. Mine took 6-8 weeks if I recall. But 9 months?? That is an unusually long time. I applaud your patience lol.
Yeah sounds like your order got lost or something.

Good news! I contacted Forrest earlier in the week, and the shelves arrived yesterday. This calls for a cigar. :D
Now I just need it to warm up so I can use it. Still winter in my neck of the woods
