Realized I don't have as many singles as I thought. For my fear of smoking the last of any cigar, I keep most in pairs.
But I wanted an easy early-morning cigar for this past Sunday, here's what I grabbed (only one of em!)

Sad this is a single... my last E-Stunner by EP Carrillo.
Single number 20 is a Perdomo 20th anniversary maduro courtesy of @Horseshoe
I had a couple of these the year they came out and wasn't as impressed as most people. A couple years later and I've changed my mind a little. Smooth like buttah with some Dalwhinnie 15.

Atypical for me to smoke more than more a day, but...
Having been drinking a hoppy pale I figured a more mild type smoke might work, and though not a great choice I didn't want to take a single to see if it paired well so chose a Cargo.
What I found was that it didn't clash too badly but did somewhat mute the hop flavor of my pale. But when I tried it with a Sierra Nevada pale it went well enough, which makes me wonder if it due to a lesser hop flavor or more bitter upfront.
Inquiring mind wants to know about a cigar that doesn't clash with a paler beer, and especially a hoppy IPA.

*EDIT*
Just realized I posted in the wrong place...

Did the scotch smooth it out though?
There are a lot of good ones out there, to the point of being a little overwhelming. We've got a few guys around here who can point you in the right direction though. I'm no expert, but Macallan 12 is pretty tough to beat. This Dalwhinnie is good too, and my favorite so far is probably Balvenie Doublewood. Good luck if you start descending that slope too, haha!
