My latest age verification snafu is with Cigar Page. They did a Scorcher on Black Friday and I plucked a few fivers. Had me put in my DOB, then said they needed last 4 of social to verify. I did and sale went through.
Got an email yesterday saying they needed me to scan my state ID and send it to them. Told 'em no way, not in today's age of ID theft, and that they've sold to me for years!
Rep emailed back and said my email wasn't in their system. I just searched my emails for their domain and did a couple thumb flicks and sent them one from 2017 (from the email they "don't have").
Sometimes its hard to give money away.
