About to put fire to a bowl of Mac Baren HH Acadian Perique in a small, straight Wally Frank apple. The pipe is a Plain Jane and nobody's dream date, but it's a good smoker and the perfect size for when I just want a 15 minute smoke.
I just finished lunch:
* King Oscar "Tiny Tots" sardines (two on each Ritz cracker) with some French's mustard & lots of black pepper.
* Progresso Tomato-Basil soup with a chopped jalapeño, some soy sauce, EVOO, & Cholula hot sauce.
* Chobani plain Greek yogurt with Cholula hot sauce blended in (Cho-Cho yogurt, I call it).
* Blueberries.
* Roasted almonds.
Now alternating fills of Capstan Medium and Solani 633 VaPer. Life is good!
Royal Yacht in one of my favorite pipes, a Mark Tinsky rusticated 6 panel apple with a beautiful dark amber stem. Cool smoking with a wide open draw, everything just tastes better in this pipe.
I had a long day lined up with the third and final sale at my sisters BNB.working around
a dislocated hip and a twisted knee,I still managed to move a furniture store load of stuff.
I snagged my DG ? pipe and a pouch of Virginia Gold Black and Gold,as well as a wallet full
of PS LNF and my Rolo Pocket pipe.Forgot the LNF in the car and couldn't find my pipe tool,
was hidden in my keys,so I managed to get four bowls of VG B&G before the sweats got
me dragging on cigarette after another.Tonight is a HOT bath with epsom salts and some
Captain Black therapy.
Escudo in the only p-lip pipe I've ever owned, a Peterson Killarney 408.
(Well, that was disappointing, time to get the 151 rum out and do some serious pipe cleaning. Gawd, that tasted awful.)
Puffing Fribourg & Treyer Cut Virginia Plug in my 1950 Kirsten Mariner. Lordy, this is fine tobacco. Top-notch, soft–smoking Virginia, and the light topping is delish. It's the only F&T tobacco whose status is nearly always "Currently out of stock" at SmokingPipes. Understandable! If you want to get some you have to request an "in stock" email notification. Pleasant room note to boot.
Just picked up some Rattray's Hal o' the Wind, having some now. A lovely blend :)
Some delicious St. James Flake in a Dr. Grabow Starfire.
Another fill of F&T Cut Virginia Plug. My tobacco rotation list is so long that I'd forgotten just how good this stuff is. I plan to fix that, but I have so much stock on hand that it'll be quite awhile before I'll see any progress.
