Before work I smoked a bowl of Frog Morton Cellar in my DG Savoy,
had to hurry home for a repeat performance. That blend is something
of a surprise to me, much better than I had hoped.
Early morning smoke was G&H Black Cherry Twist in a Hendon billiard. Very potent stuff - it will get you moving in the morning.
Starting the day with Solani's 656 in my Caserillo
This might be a cheap pipe, but it smokes great.
I smoked some various D&R tobaccos mixed and pressed, in a German made Dublin pipe that I bought unfinished on ebay. Thin walls, and it gets rather hot, so I'm trying to break it in.
I am trying to pack tobacco, pipes and nasal snuff for a week long excursion to northern Maine/Aroostook county friday. Hopefully I don't forget anything important!
In a Vaper mood this evening so I'm having some GL Pease Sixpence in a cob.
I had about half a flake of Solani's #656 left from this morning. So I stirred it in with a flake of Bob's Chocolate Flake
and loaded my Swiss BBK. Very smooth and flavorfull, still didn't taste the chocolate but the burley came thru quite
nicely.Made me hungry.
Just started a bowl of FMC in my Swiss BBK, just the thing for some "Happy" dreams.
The wife took off for her mothers house and my boss decided I was getting too
much pay (less than 15 hrs this week). So I'm stinking up the place with Lat
blends. Currently Pipeworks&Wilke #524 in a figural meer. Good stuff for
a BAD day.
Smoking some Bijou in a Savinelli bent stack billiard.

I don't know why I keep getting these Photobucket notifications on my postings. I closed my account with them yesterday.

Chatham Manor in an egg shaped 3/4 bent Tally=Ho
Got in from work and kicked it with another bowl of Chatham Manor,
this one in a Randy Wiley Rodesian. Followed that with a bowl of FMC
in my Friar.Looking for my next smoke as I type.Thinking on something
sweat and creamy. Hmmmmmmm......Well THAT HURT !
I'm going with LL Dark Red.See Y'all ina bit.
Just had my first ever bowl of MacBaren HH Old Dark Fired in a Savinelli Punto Oro Mr. G.
I will say my first impressions of this tobacco is very good.
I've got a little Moonshine stack poker loaded up with PS Navy flake to keep me occupied on a 2 hr drive this morning... I'd post a pic but p-bukkit... you know....
-edit-
Turns out it's an 'Old Shenandoah' stack poker by Baraccini. Was looking at pipes a while back and forgot which one I actually bought :p :p
Have to to the Mother-in-law's today,so I'm beefing up with a little FMC in a Bruce Peters apple
Pot first.
Puffing my first-ever fill of Solani 763, White & Black. It's composed of Virginia, Black Cavendish, and Syrian Latakia. Very tasty, it is. I don't smoke aromatics, and I can't remember the last time that I smoked any tobacco with a Cavendish component. 763 is certainly not an aromatic, but it's a nice change-up. I'd swear that it has a bit of a salty flavor. OK by me -- I love salt.
Speaking of tasty, I made a durned good sandwich for lunch today. A thick hunk of braunschweiger on baked-in-Germany Westphalian pumpernickel. Plus sliced red onion, mustard, and freshly ground black pepper. Burp.
Ha! About time you broke your rotation and mixed in a little variety! :) Now we need to get you a little Sweet Rum Twist to shake things up even more :D
It's all about variety, imo. Even if a particular blend doesn't strike me as particularly delicious, I still appreciate the change of pace.
Finally got to smoke a pipe again. It had been a busy couple weeks.
Had a bowl of Sutliff R-blend in a borrowed pipe at my brother in law's house.
I was trying to smoke up a few open tins before cracking a new one, but today I got a hankering for some Dunhill Elizabethan Mixture and couldn't help but dig a tin out of the cellar.
I've had 2 bowls and it really hit the spot.
One bowl in a Dr. Grabow Berwyck and another in my Savinelli Series III bent apple.
Enabler!!
:D
Well, I can't really say anything. I've corrupted my brother a while back. My dad used to smoke a pipe (Mixture 79 even) but doesn't like any tobacco of any kind anymore and I'm not one to push it on anyone. Given the Mixture 79, go figure why he quit.
Went fishing yesterday so I had a bowl of PS Navy Flake, a bowl of G&H Glengarry Flake, and an Oliva Serie G, Special G maduro... and a beer of course.
Smoked a couple of bowls of burley flake scraps in a MMCG this morning. Now smoking a CAO Colombia.

Getting reacquainted with my long-lost friend, F&T Blackjack. Just plain untopped Virginia, but some F&T magic makes it oh, so tasty. A UPS delivery will leave ten more tins of this stuff on my doorstep today.
Started earlier with a quick bowl of Captain Black original in my Middletonian
followed up with Frog Morton Cellar in my Tally-Ho
Now loading a Bowl of Mystery Mix#9 in my Yello-Bole Nova Brylon Bulldog
I haven't smoked a pipe for some time - been on a cigar bender the past couple months. But a BOTL friend visited the Nat Sherman store in NYC while on vaca last week, and brought me back some NS 536 (English). We like. As this is a new one for me, I'll put a review in the review section shortly.
Update: here's the review.
I'm contemplating the wonders of the Universe with
EGR in my 1050's Monterrey
I'm A-Bing two Solani ready rubbed Latakia mixtures: 779, English Luxury Mixture, and 763, White & Black.
779: Virginia, Syrian Latakia, and Oriental. Mostly rubbed out.
763: Virginia, Syrian Latakia, and Black Cavendish. Partially rubbed out, but more chunks than the 779.
Both are tasty, and a nice change up for a mostly Virginia/VaPer guy like me, but after one A-B cycle, I'm liking the 763 better. The Black Cavendish gives it a very mellow flavor. English Cavendish, I think, as there's no vanilla or berry flavoring.
But I'll do several more A-B tests before declaring a winner.
Sam Gawith Navy Flake in my London made Ben Wade apple.
For the last couple of days I've been smoking many bowls of Christmas Cheer 2016, G&H Sweet Coconut Twist, and my burley flake in various pipes. I've been working on putting some of my pipes up for sale on Ebay the last few days.
G&H Rum Flake in a Comoy's Tawny Saddle billiard.
Happy fourth!
H&H Daybreak in my Dunhill canted Dublin
Having a mini-meerful of C&D Epiphany. Good stuff!
