In Memory of Don DeBusk
It was July 1st 2017 that our founder Don DeBusk aka Herf n' Turf passed away. He is not forgotten.
I am smoking a Fuente Anejo 46, a cigar I know Don liked, while remembering what a wonderful man he was. He had a wealth of cigar knowledge and always shared it freely with anyone who had a question. When I was a new cigar smoker and joined Poof, Don sent me a personal message welcoming me and then hit me with 50rg points. I instantly knew I had found a friend.
I don't know who forks over the money to keep da Bum open, but it might be a good time to maybe put up some auctions with all proceeds going to CigarBum operating funds in honor of Don DeBusk. What do you all think?

Thank you for the nice tribute to our old friend, Steve. I was just thinking about this very topic this last weekend and could not determine when exactly it was.
I will certainly find some time this week to pay my own homage at a better fitting time.

Don helped create this great community. He will always be fondly remembered.

It's difficult to lose a fellow BOTL and esp.at an age that he was. Some people attain legendary status in their endeavors in life and he definitely left a mark in this hobby and he and I didn't always see eye to eye but that was his charm as his real focus was on this great hobby and those who love it as much as he did.

I miss him every day. Didn’t smoke one last night but will smoke a 2007 Boli PC tomorrow On my day off. That’s the last cigar we smoked together

He always seemed to be a fine person who always gave us a wealth of knowledge on our hobby. I'm still resting some Oliva Master Blend 3's on his recommendation. Only a couple of years left to hit the five year mark. What a shame to lose such a fine man, not only for his cigar knowledge, but how to be as a true gentleman.....

Hard to believe it has been two years..
