Hahaha! Almost 2x retail. What a deal!
There's got to be more to it. I can see some dullard over-bidding something but two in a row for almost the same price? There must be a reason for it.
I love idiot bids like that. It's an ebb and flow. They're the reason I can buy everything 50% off retail and CBid doesn't fold.
Here's a Padron going for $10 more than Thompson's singles price: https://www.cigarbid.com/shop/ending...me.raw=Singles
I think they make most of their money on singles, TBH. I frequently see Altadis trash going for $8-10 when you can get them on Cigars International for $4-5 dollars a stick. Here's a Cain Nub for $11...

Years ago on Ebay I bought alot of paintball equip. I found s 1 person who would always outbid me but only from 1 particular vendor. I would not be shocked if Cbid had a few accts used to drive up the price. Also am I remembering them getting caught selling fake opus?
Ah yes, the "Shill Bidder". I remember those days too and even caught someone in the act. Of course I also remember Bid Sniping, and yes, I even downloaded one of those programs - LOL.
I recall hearing the Fake Opus stories and other accusations, but never heard what the outcome was?
When I see these, I often wonder if the bidder thought it was a five pack or something. I know it clearly states single, but it's the only way I can make sense of it. A guy strumming through several listings looking for a fiver of X, gets excited and hits bid before realizing its a single?
Those are the guys I need to sell my car to ...
Me: $3000 or best offer
Them: Will you take $5000?
