Padron 45th Maduro

Had a nice little Herf at our good friend dav0's house again and I was greeted with a wonderful cigar! So thanks brother!

The wrapper on this cigar is beautiful, no flaws at all and the cigar itself is quite firm with no soft spots. The bands on this Padron are wonderful as well....from first looks I am impressed.



The first few puffs on this cigar brought on a wonderful spice, I was not expecting it but the spice was quite welcome. As we work through the first half inch or so the spice is still kicking!



Working through the first third of the cigar the spice is still the dominant flavor and still quite strong. The spice is not overpowering and is actually quite nice...so far so good!



As we get into the second third of the cigar the spice flavors have toned down significantly but are certainly still hanging around. The dominant flavors I am picking up here are leather and chocolate. This is quickly becoming a very nice cigar and a nice introduction into the Padron line for me.



Working through the second third of this cigar it is burning beautifully, no burn issues at all and the draw is perfect. I am not a big fan of box pressed cigars but this one may have me revisit them in the near future. The cigar is producing some nice smoke as well...what a great way to start the day!



Getting into the final third of the cigar the spice is beginning to pick back up, I would say at this point the chocolate and spice flavors are about even....what a perfect combination of flavors. The leather is just about gone as I am barely picking up any hints of it at this point.



Onto the nub we go...this is still smoking great and the flavors have stuck around for the duration. I was certainly not expecting spice from this cigar but it was a welcomed surprise. A near perfect cigar in both flavors and construction!
