How are your wineadors holding up?

Sadly most wine coolers use cheap Chinese PCBs, which have a tendency to die soon after the warranty is up. The thermoelectric effect itself is quite robust, but the way it's implemented in most inexpensive coolers leaves a lot to be desired.

Can those folks who have had their wineador at least a year please let me know how it's holding up? Thanks very much.

Mine works quite well and it is about 10 years old. I also leave it unplugged as the temperature in my basement is quite suitable as is.

I'm in the same boat, 15 years on the same cooler, but opted to get a beverage cooler instead of wine cooler. It's not as nice looking as a wine cooler, but twice as big and at half the costs which allows me to purchase more boxes.

I am sure the OP is referring to cooling function of the wine cooler, not the humidity.

I havent had mine nearly as long as the two members who posted above but so far it is holding up well. I will say though that the display is completely unreliable and I just dont pay attention to the numbers. The temperature is set to 65 and it is steady at that position. Im happy with it.

I've had mine (Edgestar 28) for about six years now, running non-stop in my shop. It's dealt with our East Texas humidity, hot, cold, hot & hot...and it still works like a charm. I made no modifications to the electronics of it, plugged it in and let it run. It also survived a move about 4 years ago.

It better not stop working just because I replied to this thread...

Coming up on 1 year with a Newair and it runs 24/7 year round. Still works like its brand new and I even got mine as a scratch and dent model

Thank you, yes haha, I was referring to the cooling performance of the wine cooler and specifically the reliability of it. Good to hear that at least a few of you have coolers that have been going for a rather surprisingly long time. Many many reviews online state that consumers have had major problems with coolers dying after a couple of years at most.
