Its a start. I don't like the $10 retail price as definition of a premium cigar.
I don't either, but I'd take that over some of the other proposed regulations. There can always be a lot of sales and BOGOs. Where there is a will there is a way.
I don't like the $10 definition, but it's a very good alternative to Option 1 for New Englanders, IMO. I will be asking my senators for their support.
Just to clarify, the $10 definition of premium cigars is part of one of the FDA's two proposals. The congressional bill in question would exempt premium cigars from FDA oversight altogether, which would render the $10 definition proposal moot, essentially maintaining the status quo. This of course is the preferred scenario for those of us who enjoy the hobby.
