Barely on topic...
My wife and I love camping, but for the past few years we haven't gone because we just can't sleep on the ground anymore.
Last night Kat and I bought a travel trailer. It's an older Coleman pop-up with ALL the bells and whistles. It has two King sized beds and a full sized, AC, DC, shower and toilet, air conditioner, heater, hot water heater, etc. It was more trailer than I wanted, but the price was incredible and had to go fast. So, we snagged it up.
I'm very excited about camping again, and ready to spend full days fishing and smoking pipes! (There! Now it's barely on-topic.)

Congrats. I pretty much grew up camping, its how we spent every summer. My wife has no interest and I can't get her to give it a chance. Wouldn't believe how much I miss camping. Enjoy!

Cool beans. Good for you brother. I don't do the "roughing it" side of camping anymore, but I'll rent the hell out a kick ass loaded cabin out in the middle of nowhere. Those kind of buys are rare these days. Glad ya found it, and jumped. Wife and I are looking for that same deal in a hard shell tow behind or 5th wheel. Enjoy!!!

Nice snag on the camper. I always wanted to have one of the smallest Airstream campers, but they are out of my budget.

Congrats, sounds like you'll have a terrific time in it!

Cool deal !! I live in the country and have watched the wildlife many mornings, really brings you a sense of peace.

My wife doesn't dig it either. I could live in the woods myself.
About the only time I spend a significant amount of time there though is in deer season. Then I camp every weekend.
There is something therapeutic about sitting around a fire, eating meat that was recently harvested and then kicking back with a good cigar or a bowl full of something tasty.

Good deal! I love camping, tents usually, but Mrs. Bruck isn't into it. So we generally compromise on renting a cabin.

Good for you. Used to camp at least once a month in the Boy Scouts. Had the good fortune of a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron NM in '82 for ten days on the trail.
A lot of people are concerned about the earth getting warmer. No one seems to be looking into why it is harder than it was when I was younger. :)
