I must confess. I didn't know the correct pronunciation so I looked it up in the dictionary. Merriam-Webster says it rhymes with covet, but if we followed the rules and conventions we wouldn't be pipe smokers, so I say do what pleases you and to hell with convention. Viva la revolution!
