SmokingPipes tip

I’ve purchased four estate pipes from SmokingPipes whose condition was described as:
“4.9/5 Lightly smoked”
or
“4.9/5 Lightly smoked, but rather clean”

All four of them proved to be unsmoked. YMMV.

Edit: Dunno why SmokingPipes does this. Just being super conservative, I guess.

I think they're doing that to cover all their bases, just in case it has been smoked and it doesn't show. I won a pipe at auction on Cigarbid.com; it was a Peterson and it was listed as a new pipe. When I received it, I discovered that it had been smoked before. They replaced it with a new one. In that case, it was difficult to tell that it had been smoked.

I have bought a few estate pipes from them and have been pleased every time.

Another thing about smokingpipes' pipes. The photos are not stock generic photos.
Each of their photos is the exact pipe you are purchasing.
