This is my 300 count Treasure Dome humidor. Purchased from CI 5 or 6 years ago. Reality is with humidification devices it only holds 175 Cigars. Looks good! Im surprised you could fit your recent haul in there haha. Have u ever considered/tried boveda packs? Might be able to squeeze a few extra sticks in if u used emQuote:

I actually use boveda packs mixed in between layers of cigars. I have much more humidification devices than I need for that size humidor. I just added the "pie jar" pieces in after my last purchase. Picked up two of them for $1.50 each at the devil. I love the two way humidification devices because I don't feel that you can overdo it. They give me peace of mind that my sticks are happy.Quote:

I think I may have this somewhere on here but if your asking I run 2 humidors the first is what got me started my wife gave it to me. Went unused for a few years but now it holds certain cigars.
Then these are not too recent as there have been a few newer arrivals that these pics may leave out.
Top 2 drawers are mostly bombs.

Definitely make excellent setups. Plus I can fit a bunch on my desk so i can organize my cigars in my preferred way easily and always know where specific things are without even needing to look it up in my inventory app often.

I'm in the process of moving from one gigantic tuppie, one "10 ct" traveldor (can hold about 20 with inserts out) and a "40 ct" traveldor (had probably 75+ in there at one time with the inserts removed) to a collection like @jrfoxx . One only for Bum sticks from MAWs, bombs, etc.; one for fancy sticks; and one for inexpensive everyday and tosser sticks. Did get the Bum sticks in a new tuppie, but may need another.
The big tuppie I had is in need of tossing. All the lid-snaps have fallen off - the small plastic rods that rotate and secure the snaps to the bin have broken off; and all about at the same time.
Was wanting to move to multiple smaller tuppies, so the timing is perfect.

Depends on needs and budget. I got to a point I started to use my old wine fridge for cigars. No longer cooled but was a good place to store cigars (once the drain was taped up). I have thought about doing something like this to give me more storage.Quote:

You hit the nail on the head with the word "needs". The only space I have where I can store something like a wineador would need full temperature controls. Heat in the winter because I am not going to pay to keep my basement at 65 or 70 degrees all winter. Hell my main floor living areas we fluctuate the heat between 60 overnight and 67 during the day in the winter. I can live with that temp fluctuation with my current wooden humidor. No space for anything larger (without it costing me half of my belongings) on the main level and I don't like the idea of my sticks sitting at 52 to 57 degrees all winter.Quote:

That looks nearly identical to the 170 bottle N-finity unit I bought 5-6 years ago at a yard sale. I am extremely happy with it. The 14 shelves are not made of Spanish cedar so I keep my cigars in cigar boxes and also have 1 4" deep Spanish cedar slotted tray that holds CC's and some gifted cigars. I maintain Rh with 8 lbs of unscented silica kitty litter scattered about in aquarium bags and in cookie sheets. Zero mess. They work exactly like Heartfelt beads without the cost. 8 lbs was less than $10 and I have been using them since I bought the unit. If Rh drops a little, a few sprays of distilled water on the silica crystals and it is exactly where I want it. I probably have to spritz them twice a year and it takes maybe 2-3 minutes. I don't use the cooling since we keep our home pretty consistent year round (70-72f) and have had zero issues. Rh is maintained 62-65rh.Quote:

Definitely built very sturdy and are airtight. My Bovedas are still nice and plump, and they stay right at 65% at 65-68 degrees

Wooden humi I bought on Mercari for some of my special sticks- probably fits a little less than 50. Made by an Italian pipe maker in Italy- holds humidity like a champ and I absolutely love the look/smell

After a while you will have enough daily smokes then you can buy the more celebratory sticks later. It all comes down to budget storage and how frequently you smoke. If you have enough daily smokes stored up then you can buy a few more expensive sticks every once in a while and have a place to store them. Beautiful wooden humidor. I really would love to keep everything in nice, wooden humidors as they look so nice, and have a very classy look.
Unfortunately, none I have ever had sealed well at all, so they got retired.
Had to use 72%Bovedas to maintain 65% rh, and they had to be replaced every 2 to 3 months.
Tupperdors aren't as nice looking, but have proven to make for excellent performance, so have to sacrifice the looks.

I speak from my experience. There have been times i have had little to no buying for 1 reason or another. Even with my daughter I won't let my cigars affect the household budget. I have a cigar fund when someone gives me money for birthday or whatnot that goes in my cigar fund. Its not exorbitant but healthy especially when you add in my limited purchases. I 100% agree. I love my "BBS" (Budget Buy Sticks) favorites that I have found. They are great for daily smoking and then like you said, I sprinkle in some "special occasions" with the BBS.
