Okay - that just kicked my a$$...

WOW!

Just came in from enjoying a Birthday cigar - Padron 1926 Anniversary No. 6 maduro robust. Great smoke! Probably the best constructed cigar I've had. Really complex, long lasting, very enjoyable and definitely FULL strength. Not my favorite but I'll probably get some more to have available. :cool:

A couple other noteworthy smokes I've had in the last couple weeks:

CAO Flathead sparkplug - this, THIS was an awesome cigar. Very deep, lots of chocolate, also VERY FULL strength (also kicked my a$$) but oh so smooth... I loved the waxy, almost oily texture. I'm definitely in for more of these, possibly a box purchase. So much stuffed in such a small package.

Tatuaje - noellas reserva and Miami 10? I think I'm in love with Tatuaje. I was really skeptical of these, seems like a board favorite, I didn't want to fall prey to peer pressure, I wanted to "be my own man!" Damn - I'm hooked! I LOVE the pepper and brown sugar combo. THESE will be my go to cigars. LOVE LOVE LOVE 'em!

Happy Birthday! The 1926 Maduro is a great stick, though I still like the 1964 Maduro a bit better. Like you, I'm also getting into the Tats, I've really enjoyed every one I've tried. Just bought some Black Label petit lanceros last week. Had one on vacation in FL and thought it was fantastic, so ordered 5 more.

You should try a 1926 80th if you think the 64 Aniversary was good.

I've been close to pulling the trigger on these or the Luchadors to put something different in my humi, but haven't decided.

So far I like the red labels, I also had a few 10th anniversary Belle Encre and thought they were pretty good, but had a little trouble staying lit and a little bitter. Nothing to cry about, but kind of set me off from buying more. Wondering how the Noellas Miamis compare?

All the Padron's ate good, can't go wrong with any of them.

Happy birthday man. I haven't had the CAO, but I can vouch for the Padron and the Tatuaje 10th. Both great sticks. I'm jealous you got to have both of those recently.

Bitter and trouble staying lit...perhaps some rest would help there? I haven't tried that stick yet.

FWIW, I've had those same issues with mail order sticks right off the truck, as well as local B&M purchases. My main B&M runs 72% humidity year round.

Also, even straight from the B&M, the Noella Reserva smoked fantastic. I would try one while/if you can still find them.
