Time to thaw out? My sister lives there but I can't remember it's been years since I was down. Enjoy. Stag Tobacconist 9201 n 29th
There's an App for that ;)

well....
Cigar King in Scottsdale - decent selection & nice lounge... byob
Ambassador in Phoenix - huge selection (almost too much) didnt visit lounge, snazzy decor
Fox Cigar in Chandler - my go to, only shop with full bar, tons of craft beer, friendly staff
Big Sticks in Mesa - old time tobacco shop feel, good selection but pricier than most
pm me when your in town and i will try to meet you for a smoke.
depending on the day you are here i can get a few guys together to meet up, i smoke with a few guys from a couple different forums on a semi regular basis
I would say fox cigar then. They have the biggest outdoor patio.
I G-mapped that, and it looks like you'll be out in Gledale, possibly nearGrand Ave? If so, the closest place to there will be Fair Oaks Cigars. It's on Northern Ave JUST west of the 101 Freeway. Next door to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar (& Grill). It's a clean, new-ish place, with a nice lounge, and some limited outdoor seating. A couple miles further up THE 101 is Ambassordor's West location, near Peoria Sports Complex. Little stuffier in appearance and dress, but they won't run you outta there for your garb, LOL.
The Fox Lounge he's mentioned is roughly a 35-40mins drive east from there (Gilbert) when you're NOT in rush-hour traffic. Yes, it's a heckuva nice venue. But there's several other good venues in Phoenix much, much closer, including the new remodel of Churchill's on Camelback with a full bar.
PM me for my #, and I'll be glad to give you some other venues if you'd like. :)
Fine Ash in Avondale is supposed to nice too, but I personally have never been there.
Small world. I'll be in Phoenix the 13th-14th. Coming out to pick up a lifelong dream of mine. I bought a KILLER 1965 Landcruiser. Anyone down for a herf the Friday night?
Sorry, don't mean to derail this thread, but it is kinda relevant, in a way
Don't know. Picking up the cruiser in Gilbert. Any recommendations? Would hate to wind up on the wrong side of town…
That would be fun, the guys from the other forum (not puff) set up big herfs a couple times a year, they did one a few months ago in Yuma and guys from Southern Cali met up with the AZ guys... I couldn't make it but the stories they tell... it sounds like it was a blast. I could get some of them in on it too, a multi forum fly-in herf... lol
I'm gonna holler at Justin when we hit town. Hope we can get something going....
I am on in. I'll be there
My latest find deserves a bump to this thread:
I just stumbled upon The Yard, Cigar Bar during my lunch hour. The location of the property is the SEC of Elliot & Dobson in Chandler. There is a
Fibber McGee's there, for those that may know that venue, and also a Filibertos facing Elliot.
The Proprietor is Bill, and they carry beer and wine now. They're awaiting the final Papal-Blessing from the city for spirits. He's only been open for 33days, and has done only word-of-mouth advertizing so far. There's a full legnth bar, about a dozen big cozy lounges, and outdoor patio seating with heaters. The central exhaust and three interior smoke-eaters made it unnoticeable with the half-dozen, or so, puffing away during my stop.
The humidor is spacious enough to not feel cramped, and there were some sticks in there I'd not seen before, along with a smattering
of the usual suspects. I grabbed a Nica Rustica for $7 even, which is the cheapest I've seen yet in a B&M. It has room to grow, but
likely won't leave you wanting if you walk-in empty-handed.
Definitely one to check out.
Gonna hit Chuchill's on Camelback tomorrow after lunch if anyone is interested in joining.
Fox Cigar Bar: has a great selection of cigars and booze. You can smoke indoor at the bar or outdoors on the patio. There are TVs on the patio. Very good service. Waitresses are on top of things. It's about 40 minutes southeast of Phoenix, though. So prepare for a drive.
Churchill's Cigars: They just renovated the place and now have a brand-new lounge. The walk-in will blow your mind!
Cigarking: Amazing selection. Try the Garcia y Hirsch line. It was rolled by Don Pepin for the owner. Ask for Joe. He will give you a tour and some free cigars, if you're lucky. Didn't have a chance to enjoy the lounge, but it looked cool.
At Churhill's now, this place is fantastic!
Glad you liked it! Did you end up eating near there, also?
Fox is nice but more bar than anything. Also try Smoke and Joe. Bill Neiderer is a great guy. Another favorite is Baxter Cigars and Fuma in Scottsdale. I will be out there in April for a week if anyone wants to get together.
Just visited the Perdomo rep at Smoke & Joe this past Saturday. Very nice venue! The coffee bar is JUST inside the front door, and there are tables, chairs, and a couch all in the 'lobby', but this is a NON-smoking area. The huimdor is past the coffee counter, next to the couch. Whatever you purchase, you have to step into the private lounge area to smoke, or do so outside.
This venue is very very far north in town, and would be a great stop-off if you're on your way up to Carefree or CaveCreek. Or, a short side-trip from the Desert Ridge outdoor mall venue on Tatum and 101.
