Is there a chance that this will be resurrected here? It was a great way for people new to pipes to sample a wide variety of tobaccos without investing a lot of money, and it gives people like myself an excuse to open more tins.

I would say it is extremely likely.
It has already been resurrected on the cigar side. It's likely a matter of time and we'll see it here as well.
I would be more than happy to re-start the sampler trade, pending admin approval of course.

Can't wait to jump in this! Love to try new blends without forking out lots of dough. Good thing about pipe tobacco is you can pick up an ounce of something for 3-5 dollars. If you don't like it your not out much.
