A moment of insanity or a moment of fiscal responsibility?

Tatuaje had 2 limited releases hit the shelves today - the M80 and the Anarchy. I had a chance to pick up boxes of each. M80 $110 for 15 cigars. Anarchy $150 for 15 cigars. Both limited releases. I looked at the order page probably a minimum of 5 times for each but couldn't get myself to pull the trigger. By the time I actually got the courage to order both of them they had sold out. M80 had 500 boxes, Anarchy 666 boxes.

So, was my hesitation a moment of insanity? Or was my hesitation a (rare) moment of fiscal responsibility?

You need to buy a box or two. Just buy them and not think about the money spent.

Well here was my logic:

1. In unscientific terms, I've purchased a butt load of Tat Monsters recently - full-size, Little or Pudgy
2. Tat still has some releases that I'm sure will take my money - most notably the Hyde but also TAA 2015. I still haven't ordered The Whore yet either.
3. I have zero storage at my house currently (see 1 above)
4. I want to get a massive winedor and @Horseshoe just showed me some prices. Gotta have the funds to do that!

So in conclusion, @OldSkoolTarHeel you should save me some of the M80 and Anarchy!

The Anarchy didn't even go on sale until 12 PM EST and you're posting this at 11:48 EST so how could they be sold out? I just bought a box myself.

The Anarchy link got leaked earlier today. Last time I looked it appeared they had sold out. It showed the sticks as being available until around 10:30 or so this morning. Then it showed up as out of stock. Perhaps they noticed the link was actually live and took it down until noon.

Well, crap, so do I hop online and try to get a box now.......?

Although the m80 is a good cigar its a lot like the other gimmicky sticks from Tat...its not that refined or out of this world..I have in the past bought a box of them but after smoking a couple I sold the rest..


Sadly tats are starting to remind me of RPs or gurhkas with the "special" and "limited" sticks they are putting out..

Just my opinion no need to pay me any attention..:stogie:

yeah they were both "leaked" just when it was becoming known that they would be annual releases.....2 different store exclusives, both went live 24 hours prior to the initial time given lol gotta be a "coincidence" right?

As of this writing, at 1:54 PM EDT, the anarchy is still available. DO IT!!!!!!!!

I personally wasn't a fan of the M-80 (heresy, I know!), but I did jump on a box of the Anarchy.
@DogRockets I can't believe you managed to not order either of them. I need to learn from you...

I snagged a box of m80s yesterday and both links where leaked really early yesterday. But don't worry @DogRockets they are both going to be annual releases now so you can just get em next year lol and FYI anarchy is still available

Wonder if some of them even bother making any more "regular' cigars.
Thinking why should they waste time doing that when can simply slap a *LE* label on every cigar and jack up the $ticker prices.

Reminds of the Little shop that's had a *Going Out Of Business Sale* for the last nineteen years.

The whole "Limited Edition" label has been grossly over used and doesn't hold it's true meaning like it once did. Haven't smoked either I would pass. I've been burned in the past picked up LE's only to realize they where not worth the price or half the price for that matter. Not to say they wouldn't be good, but I only buy cigars that I know are good from past experiences or have heard / read they are good from trusted sourced. Cigar marketing has just gotten out of control over the years.

I don't go for any of this "LIMITED RELEASE! ZOMG DON'T LOOSE OUT, BUY IT NAO NAO NAO!!!" crap.

So, while some cigars are certainly better than others, I've yet to find one that's worth loosing any sleep over.
I've also seen lots of folks on here trying to break even selling some cigars they paid big $$$ for. They usually go for a loss.

In summary; to hell with all of this. One premium is as good as another and none of them hold their value worth a damn.

For reasons of Public Safety (Not to mention, so I won't...The Pissible violations of " Elf & Safety Regulations" Involved or violated)

One of the things I like that Pete does with some of his releases is that he actually brings blends back as opposed to them being 1 and done. A lot of his cigars are something he puts out every few years like some of the Reservas or in this case the Anarchy. The OR Anarchy came out in 2010. Then he brought the blend back as a redux in 2012(Apocalypse) to line up with the whole mayan 2012 thing. Now he's bringing the blend back again. I don't see anything wrong with it, its a special project and a great blend people love.

FWIW the OR Anarchy are an absolute treat right now. If you can afford to buy a box to smoke now and another to lay down I highly recommend it.

Really no hype anymore since they are both going to be annual releases so it just a matter of if you get it this year or have to wait till next year

I have only heard the M80 will be regular limited release but I wouldn't pass them up cause we all know even though PJHC says the will be annual the have cancelled before ie the Reserva

For the OP you were insane to pass up, the M80 is a stellar smoke
