If you were given 3 all puro unbanded cigars, all the same size, could you tell by smoking which was from the Dominican, Nicaragua and Cuba? I feel like I could but I am far from certain. How about you? Could you tell?

Cuba, yes. The twang gives it away. Nic vs DR? Dunno, I was surprised at the strength of Partagas Black being DR. Did you forget Honduras? On a related note, I am going to order a Mexican sampler soon. Curious to see how they taste
I could and I'm not that good.

This is where I learn about how you can tell so tell me because Ive read what others say...how do you tell
No doubts. No questions. Yes
I haven't smoked enough Cubans to pick out the twang, but I think I could figure out the nica
The limit of my ability is this: I know Hondurans have a rich wood/spice combo best displayed IMO by El Rey del Mumdo. Nicaraguans I know by peppery power, black and red pepper assaults. That's all I know. Smoking a monstrous DR now, the Opus A that you gave me, Steve

yes on the Cuban; not sure about Nic vs. DR.
And I can definitely tell the difference between a real Cuban and a fake :puke:
Most of the time I could tell the Nic vs. DR apart, but I've only smoked a handful of CCs.
Smoking blind can really mess with me though, because a hint of flavor can send me down the totally wrong track as I've proved before in some of the blind review passes. For example, for me the LFD Double Ligeros have the pepper, earth, and cocoa that I associate with a Nicaraguan. Going the other way though, I can't think of any Nicaraguans off the top of my head where I think I'd guess DR.
Cuban= distinct twang taste Nicaragua= pepper/spice Dominican= a very obvious gritty dark soily dirt taste (may be very faint but there always on retrohale)
OH DONT STOP NOW>>>Im A LEARNIN NOW...

If they are puros, I'd say yes. I'm with Justin, the retrohale would be the giveaway.
MY SUPER JIZZ powers should easily tell.
