Where is your favorite place to smoke? AND why?
Personally, my back deck because of the view and solitude, how bout you?
Pretty much the only place I smoke is my back deck. But last spring we took a trip through the Rockies and spent a night in Banff, sat out on the hotel deck enjoying the mountains with a good cigar, definitely takes the cake.
My yard, I have my bar, TV, and peace and quiet. Unfortunately Jersey weather won't allow me to smoke there year round. So during the winter months I head over to my local lounge.
Definitely the golf course !
I do the majority of my smoking in my lanai (that's a screened in porch for you non Florida people lol. Comfy chair, LED lighting, cover from rain, no bugs, fans when its hot, heater when it drops below 70 degrees. I usually watch movies out here while enjoying a stick. It's my happy place and I am lucky to basically be able to smoke outside year round.
The Past.
I do most of my smoking sitting on the back patio. Lots of privacy and even though there are other houses around it gives me an almost secluded feel. Church bells chime on the hour and half hour in the distance. Trees are active with birds and squirrels and my pellet rifle lays on the table ready to spit if a safe shot at a squirrel presents itself.
So far this morning the score is Squirrels 1- Me 0. I love starting the day out here.
My favorite is my front deck. The only problem is there is no cover and no bug protection so it is very weather dependant.
Second favorite is my basement bedroom that is slowly being converted to a smoking room.
My favorite place would be by the campfire while on a hunting trip...you can't beat hanging out with hunting buddies on a cold night getting warm by the fire with a scotch and a good smoke.
That being said, my most common place would be the back patio...fire in the pit if it's the colder months.
Most of my smoking is probably on my back deck, but my favorite place is at my favorite cigar lounge, downtown in the Old Market, sitting outside front at one the tables on the street, weather permitting (about 5-6 months of the year.) I like watching the people walk by and almost always I see one or several of the other regulars that will join in for conversation. This place also gets a fair amount of out of town visitors in town for business or for the College World Series in June. I enjoy meeting some of them and hearing their stories.
I also have to agree with @WNYTONY on the golf course, except it doesn't happen often enough.
I actually chuckled out loud when I read that you bring the heater out for temps below 70. :)
Favorite place is: Anywhere with friends.
However MOST of my cigar smoking is done while getting windshield time.
Mark, I loved the Old Market area in Omaha. I was only down there once with family for dinner at Blue and didn't have time to really look around, but from what I saw, I want to go back.
For me it used to be the back patio but then couple years ago I outfitted the garage with a big screen tv, campfire, and bug screening so I can be out there year round and be quite comfy.
It used to be our veranda while on a cruise but the cruise line no longer allows that. So now my favorite spot is our patio which has views of the mountains, especially when the sun is setting and the colors change against them.
So far, here, when the weather allows:

This is actually a tough question. I thought about a while and realized that my favorite place to smoke is my favorite place to be, which is about anywhere that I can enjoy a good cigar or pipe. A bit of a circular answer I admit, but there really is no one good answer for me. So for the sake of this discussion, I'll say on my fishing boat on the Occoquan river which surrounds my neighborhood.
My traditional favorite spot has always been my own den/mancave, but that's now taken a distant 2nd to the private balcony at the Hotel Grand Majestic Bologna, Italy. I was there in September and there's simply NO SUBSTITUTE! Perfect temperature, perfect setting and a GREAT smoke!

Then again, this spot in Brunate, Como didn't exactly SUCK!

In my house. I'm a bachelor for the time being, so I can get away with it.
Reviving this old thread.
Where do you smoke?
Most of my smoking occurs in my backyard; on or under my deck. Below in winter with a heater, for shade, or it’s raining. Above other times.

Damn, look at some of the names in this thread.
That looks like a great spot Mark! Always nice to have options.
My top spot is on the front patio/porch area that you all see so much of. Gets sun in the morning before its too hot and shade in the afternoons. Bella greatly prefers it as people might walk by to greet and she gets all the smells of whatever visited the day before.
Backyard is great for evenings with a fireplace and lighting, but doesn't get the use it deserves.
And of course if its too cold (don't laugh) or too hot, I have the indoor smoking lounge.
Other favorites include camping, fishing, and the shooting range.
Preferably in the little all glass enclosure on the padded rocking bench where i have a place to set out all my stuff, and where I have put out my nice, ceramic, Brick House ashtray, plus am directly facing the Big Horn mountain range nearby. Nice view to smoke too, plus get plenty of sunshine being all glass.
Everyone knows that its my favorite spot, so graciously no one else ever sits there, or if they are and I come out, they get up and move which I think is very nice of them. Great group of veterans here for the most part.

@SoCal gunner I was thinking the samr thing, and couldn't believe I didn't respond when it was started.
Right now there's a little corner of the garage I do most of my smoking. Hopefully our house will be done in the next few months and I'll my porch set up.

Gorgeous.
I love staring out over open water from growing up on my parents boat in Michigan and 5 years in the navy, plus the cool breeze that comes off of it and the smell of the water.
I did recently get to smoke one on the beach looking out over the lake on our trip to Devil's Tower, and 2 by the campfire on our camping trip in the mountains finally that I have been staring at as i smoke for nearly 3 years now.
My ideal would be near a nice campfire looking over a body of water surrounded by the multicolored cliffs you see in Wyoming from all the iron and magnesium in them.
I friggin love cigars
Mountains do make for a great view, especially if you aren't from somewhere that has them. I'm fortunate to stare at the Big Horn mountain range which is only a 10 minute drive away. Drove through the Rockies moving here from Oregon and the view is gorgeous.
