Title says it.
I've been intrigued lately with these blends and have found one, Dunhill Ready Rubbed, that I love.
What are some others that you all enjoy?
I'm putting an order together and have McConnel's Oriental and McClelland 24 in my cart.
If you can think of any others that are straight Virginia/Oriental with no Latakia, please let me know.
Well I've been smoking Sam Gawith, Sam's Flake but I'm not all that impressed with it. Maybe it would turn your crank better than it's turned mine.
I haven't smoked it, but Pease's Embarcadero comes to mind. I do like Pease's VA blends in general.

It's nothing like 1792. I'd say the strong, pungent flavor of 1792 must come more from the steaming and pressing than from tonquin because these two are not similar at all.Quote:

come to think of it, I tried a bowl of McClelland, Smyrna #1 a few weeks ago and quite enjoyed it. Looking it up on TR, it is an Oriental / Va blend.
Try some of the McClelland Grand Oriental line.
The McClelland Grand Orientals is where you should go. Smyrna #1 and Classic Samsun are legit. I tried Smyrna and immediately bought 6 tins to put away.
