The 52 is a great smoke bro. The one that seriously blew me away would have to be God Of Fire Carlito just a complete well round and great tasting cigar one of the few IMO worth the price tag!

To this day there have been two. My first Ańejo (a gift in a bomb from @Cardinal ) and a 1998 Cuban Punch from a contest that @AndyCAYP had. The Punch was my first Cuban and I smoked every last bit of it that I could. The Ańejo definitely started my love of Fuente cigars, the maduro Hemingways come close but the Ańejo is still my favorite.

Cohiba Espy and Siglo IV and VI. Been smoking them for 30 years and they still blow me away.
In recent years, the Tatuaje Reserva 2013 Noellas and Regios and the BLTC Bishops Blend.
Since this is the NC section...
5 Vegas 2013 Limitada - not the best cigar out there, but I was "blown away" by 5 Vegas making something so good.
Best NC overall - a BOTL at work gave me an old Dunhill (I think) that he had been aging for 20 years. Absolutely fantastic flavor. No nicotine left in it, but the flavor was astounding!
The cigar I was most recently surprised with was the 2 Casa Fernandez Aganorsa Leaf Maduro that @Old Smokey sent me at Christmas....
Smoked a 7 year old Opus X the last day of the KC Irish Fest (when everything was said and done). Hadn't fired one up in a long time and forgot how sublime these cigars are.
Mine have to be a shark. I've had anejo s and even the eye of the shark but far superior is the ref anejo shark. Never lets me down. And if you ever smoke one with any age on them they get better. The 52 is a great smoke . Try the dirty rat or feral pig even better imo
The one that blew my mind was the Matilde Oscura. I had heard it was good and picked one up at the B&M. Light it up for a car ride and it has complex with slowy changing flavors. I new next to nothing about it. Purchased it on a whim and now I snag some whenever they get them in.
Blanco Nine Lancero was the first cigar to blow my mind.
I got a cigar as a gift many years ago from Al (Bull). It was in a nice wooden tube labelled "Srintil." Haven't been able to track down another one - apparently not made anymore. It was the Indonesian-est, creamiest, baking-spiciest, little bit citrus-iest cigar I've ever had.
Then, of course, there are a couple from the Mythical Island ...
The T52 is my #2 LP. The FFP has never disappointed!
But smokes that have really blown me away are the GOD Carlito, the Opus Power Ranger and the Julius Caesar!
No matter what I've had thus far, those 3 in that order have been truly unforgettable and thoroughly enjoyed.
A few "also ran" that I try not to be without are Garcia Blue label, Regius Red & Blue labels, Bishops Blend & Jamie Garcia Especiales.

Brian, I am with you on the Fuente stuff. I have only had one GOF and it a Carlito 2009. It was incredible. My first Anejo was a Shark that was at least 5 years old and it too was one of the most memorable cigars I ave smoked. I guess we are Fuente Fanboys.Quote:

A man after my own heart as I've been smoking cigars and pipes for over 40 years and I can't seem to pay over $10 for almost every cigar out there except for some CC's and Opus. Funny you mention the "magical moments" with tobaccos as when you're in those moments you can love a big girl as much as a skinny girl if the planets are aligned. I've done some world travels and smoked a lot of cigars in some amazing places and the cigar or pipe I smoked on those occasions became so much more significant than smoking them at home or in a B&M. I try not smoke anything when I'm in a foul mood because I know the experience will tarnish that time and cigar with such a memory association. You probably touched on something that is more significant than you realized and our state of mind when we enjoy our tobaccos can enhance it more than we know.Quote:

The cigar that did it for me is the Eiroa The First Twenty Years. It was recommended to me by my local B&M and the first one was fantastic. Everyone I've had since has given me the same experience. Its the one that just seems to perfectly match my taste.
I still have a Shark that @cocker_dude sent me a few years ago......One of these days I'll fire it up. I have a feeling that I'll be a great grandpa in a year or two. My oldest grandson is coming hunting in December and introducing me to his first true love. She's a cutie and wants to learn to deer hunt, plus she said she do the cooking!......Quote:

On the milder side 2002 Romeo and Juliet. Absolutely amazing smoke.
On the darker side the original Camacho Triple Maduro. I still miss that original blend.
