Aside from the obvious..

here are a few "ancillary" benefits to smoking a cigar (or two). Feel free to add any if you'd like.

1. Keeps gnats and mosquitoes away.
2. Will always tell you wind direction (good for golf and sailing).
3. Is a great conversation starter.
4. Helps build camaraderie, friendship and trust with people (and especially a few bums!) you might otherwise never know.
5. Now you can say you know someone in LA.
6. Gets you extra elbow room at the bar (where still applicable).
7. Makes you easy to buy a gift for!
8. Just a few wandering puffs ferrets out a**holes faster than a heat-seeking missile.
9. Reminds your significant other of her grampa' or favorite uncle (hopefully).
10. Motivates you to hone your photog and posting skills.
11. No one will care about the size of your stick.
12. Adds Olean, NY to your retirement short-list (ok, that's a stretch).

Gives you something to do while grilling or smoking meat.

Makes you not look quite so creepy while sitting on your front porch watching the young (20 something) girl across the street clean and vac her car.

You don't have to get up to do it.

You can do it alone or with friends.
