Hairy Cigar Fairy
I have never heard of that. Maybe they are using a higher purity butane.
From Amazon
"
XIKAR PUROFINE High Performance butane is perfect for users located in high altitudes. In regions with less oxygen, it can sometimes be very difficult to ignite a lighter properly or consistently. XIKAR researched a breakthrough formula to remedy this, containing even less levels of impurities than its highly-regarded Premium version. As a result, even users who are not located in higher altitudes can benefit from this new and improved butane; if you own a lighter that is having trouble with flickering or low flame height, use PUROFINE High Performance butane to unclog and clean the gas line and burners to return your lighter to like-new condition."
