I've had a humidor for more years than most here on the forum are old! Many years ago, I thought that all cigars should be removed from their box, opened (if wrapper in cellophane) and lied out there for the humidor to do its job.
Well, that's the WORST that can be done; long term the cigar looses ALL of its flavor. So boxes are the way to go.
Even short term, say 1 month, cigars with wrappers will almost survive OK but w/o wrappers, they loose their distinctive flavor. You saw it here first!![]()
