They are poured into the mould upside down so not really possible to lay tile in them

Maybe you could lay the tile in first, then pour the concrete.

That's exactly what I was thinking. That's how James May did the counter in "Man Lab" though his work was no where near as good as these come out.

Either way, they're cool as hell. I wish I didn't just get an ashtray less than a month ago.
