    Heartfelt beads

Remember when the heartfelt beads were the bees knees? I always thought about getting some but never pulled the trigger. I got lazy over the years and just buy boxes of bovedia packs. What are you all rocking? Anyone try those Integra bovida knockoffs? How are they?

    Heartfelt beads

I still use crystal kitty litter.

Been using the same container I bought like 8 to 10 years ago. I rarely have to replace. Some of it gets a little yellow over time (like yellow cello) .

Been keeping my totes/winedor rock solid in the mid 60s % RH. I supplement with the small 69% Bovedas in a humidor that is within my winedor, along with scattering a handful among my cigars in the totes. The Boveda are plentiful from shipments I receive. I probably have a few hundred.

    Here is myBoveda recharge setup.
    Crude but effective.

I nested a 16 ounce sour cream container with holes drilled in the bottom, inside a larger 24 ounce similar size container. The bottom holds about an inch or two of water up until it’s just below the bottom of the upper container. I toss some Boveda in the top and forget about them for a few weeks.

When re-hydrated, I transfer to a plastic holding container until I need them.

I have Heartfelt beads in all 3 wineadors in the bottom and use Bovedas. I've had the beads for around 10 years and they help keep things steady with no real big swings.
Haven't tried the off brand Bovedas - usually just toss them, but my Bovedas are old too.
Like Mark, I have a recharge setup using a grate above a small tupper with distilled water all packed into a larger round tupper.
No cigar until you get a par - birdie if it's a scramble !

I love all of our boveda recharge set ups. Mine consists of an Easter egg coloring/dip cup with distilled water, with a sponge standing up in to act as a wick, with the bovedas tossed around, all inside a Rubbermaid food container.

Kitty litter for 15 years now. Even with the humidor that controls temp and humidity i still use boveda randomly spread throughout and a giant container of kl in the middle the humidity does fluctuate based on which self. But I have always found a humidor does best with more things to help hold moisture than less. I also used to get small mesh bags of kl and spread those around some to.
