it took probably over 4 months before I got their social club card and then another 4 months before the punch showed up

Well crap. I signed up last year and waited months and all I got was a cheap and flimsy business card holder. I was so bummed out about it at first but then I remembered that I generally don't care for punches in the first place. But it was still a let down after seeing everyone with their nice Monte punches

Yeah. It is pretty huge and heavy. Definitely a "desk punch."

Doesn't work, any time I've a desk get punched, they just continue being unresponsive, like a plank of wood.
Best bet is to put some distance between self and desk, light up and enjoy a cigar.

@dinoa2
, thanks for starting this thread as I also wanted to share my experience with the members here.
I just received mine on Saturday and must admit, as I opened the package with a bit of glee (I am now a card-carrying member of their esteemed club, after all!) in the kitchen in front of my wife, I suddenly felt I was caught somewhere between the Leg Lamp and Little Orphan Annie Decoder Ring scenes, (both from A Christmas Story, in case you didn't know).
But with that aside, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the key is mostly if not all metal and quite heavy, too. How the punch works is you twist the key and out it comes to do its job. Cooler thing is when I was finished and twisted it back in place it also kicked out the plug of tobacco I had just clipped off the cigar and had until then been still lodged inside. Nice feature, I thought.
Now, as nice as it is, am I going to carry it around as a key fob? It has a ring for that, after all. Certainly not. But it is a nice little desk item that works quite well and which turned out to be better than I really was expecting.
Oh yeah, and I'd say delivery time was about 6-8 weeks from when I first signed up on the site.
Here is a link to the pic of it I posted Sunday on the "what did you smoke today?" thread after having thrown a welcoming party upon its arrival. (the cigars were not included but acquired previously on cbid).

Just got mine in today!
Opened it in the kitchen having no idea what it was. My wife was there and rolled her eyes asking how much I spent on it...
This time I could proudly exclaim, NOTHING! It was free!
Naturally she could not believe that, so it moved to "okay, how much did you spend to get it for free?".
I started to laugh and told her it actually was free, spent nothing!
I think for the first time, in a long time, my wife almost moved to tears of pride...
