Vintage tool every cigar lover needs

I would guess maybe from the 1930s. Before and after the Great Depression cigars sold for around 10 cents. They dropped to a nickel during the Depression.

Quite sure you're spot on regarding the cigar prices of those days.
Tho I can't be certain of the brand names I do remember 10 cent cigars alongside two for fifteen centers as late as 1948-1950.
Perhaps Dutch Masters and/or El Producto.

While the nail puller ,tapered edge was quite common on cutters...that hammer is something I've not seen before,
paired with the bottle cap opener makes it the Swiss knife of the period.

They're pretty easy to find on eBay, in several designs, including a "George Washington hatchet." The hard part is finding someone who doesn't value their more highly than you do. Most of them are touted as pipe cleaner/tamper tools, but I'm pretty sure they're for cigar boxes and beer bottles. My guess is that the hammer is there to tap the nails back in to re-close the box after you've slit the paper seal and lifted the lid using the edged, notched end.
