Nice job! I would have used something other than galvanized decking just because it's selling at stupid prices right now (at least in my area). Are you planning side panels?

Also, did you put any screening to keep wasps and other unwanted visitors?

I wasn’t planning on using side panels, but that is a thought. All Weather Smoking Habitat
Even if I just tacked them in temporary, maybe grooves at the top and bottom to slide them in. ?

The panels were about $30 each for 2x12.
I looked at other, more attractive metal siding/roofing, but they were significantly more expensive or I would have had to wait; they weren’t in stock at nearby stores.

The patio area I am covering is 12x14.

I may think about closing it in to make it a true all-seasons room (with adequate ventilation for the heater, of course.) I would prefer clear material as I like looking outside. I have considered marine grade vinyl and canvas panels that can be rolled up when not in use. These are pretty pricy if custom made. All Weather Smoking Habitat$$$

Right on! You all are dangerous.
Experiencing a little project creep. Been contemplating this for over a year. As it progresses, then thinking about closing it in, maybe a ceiling fan for those warm summer months or to help distribute heat in winter. Then comes furnishings. Inexpensive mesh deck chairs won’t do.

All this for the purpose of what? Enhancing my comfort while smoking cigars. We could enjoy it for other times outdoors, but that almost always goes along with a cigar.
