Like I said, this wasn't their responsibility, but they saw a loyal customer who had a shitty day and righted someone else's wrong. I've actually always had great customer service from them--they replace or refund damaged cigars without question and were patient when I forgot to take off my old credit card number that wasn't active anymore and had a purchase pending.
My infatuation with the Devil's Site burns eternal.

Thanks for posting this update. Seems most of the public are quick to bitch about a vendor but slow share a positive experience. Seems we just EXPECT the positive so nothing is said when we get it.
I've never had a bad CS experience with any tobacco vendor. Had P&C screw up a pipe tobacco order a couple of times but they were always eager to make it right and I always came out ahead in the end.
What you ought to do is leave a 'shipment' of Ron Mexicos on that porch with a couple of horse tail hairs threaded through each one. My great uncle always said the best way to get back at a cigarette thief was to thread a horse tail hair thru the last few cigaretts in a pack and leave them in a conspicuous place. I guess it'll pretty much turn you green when you smoke one

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Ha! That’s amazing.
And you’re totally right. I too haven’t had a poor experience with any cigar company. I think it’s an industry in which respect, pride of ownership and class are the rule, rather than the exception.

LOL.
Years ago I worked with a guy who was always leaving his pack of cigarettes lying around the store. A couple of us got fed up and emptied the tobacco out of one cigarette, and replaced it with match heads. Then we put enough tobacco back in the end to cover our tracks. The image of him lighting up that cigarette is ... ahem ... burned in my memory. It went up with a flash, leaving him standing there with his eyes wide in shock, and a smoking filter hanging out of his mouth.
Last time he left his cigarettes lying around ...
Insert witty comment here ...
