you probably got a dud. my first dirty rat was the same way. I bought 10 of them and was wtf...these suck. But then the other ones were good.

What could I get for a bundle of ratzillas on the open market?
Ill take one!
No it doesn't. We where just talking about this at a viva event. Government lumps us cigar smokers in with cigarette smokes can't help to have a big voice in government. Plus drew estate grew in leaps that even Jonathan wasn't ready for
Neither hater nor whore. Color me curious and intrigued. I have enjoyed T52, I really like Undercrown Corona Viva, I like KFC, and I definitely like JdN Antano. Would be interested in trying MUWAT, and the Imperial Stout from the new Smoking Monk of Esteli run. Blended for beer? Hmmmm...
Not right now....Ligas are taking a hit at the moment because of the buyout. that's why i've been able to get some of the ultra rares lately. The Ratzillas are still being made so the OR bundles are not going to much more than the current production. If you have an OR bundle, just sit on it if you don't smoke them. The market will go back up. I actually think that being under new ownership you're going to see them consolidate their limited runs to 1 or 2. Based on popularity, it will probably be the FFP and ratzilla unless they start making Velvets again. In which case it would be the FFP and velvet.
@lvfcrook1503 , that's pretty cool of you, my friend. Let me know if I have something you'd like to try out as well.
@lvfcrook1503 , thanks much! Yeah, you know somebody's gonna call @ 0300 when they have had the pain/illness for a week lol
im gonna have to aruge and disagree with you on the limited numbers going down with the buy out. in the past few months more unicos have become available because drew estate has cought up. drew estate grew in leaps and bounds that JD could not keep up with. now that a company like swisher owns it and has money and warehouse space i would expect some unicos to be eaiser to find like l40s and uf13s and more of the htfs like rats an ffps alittle easier to find. why stop making what the people want?
so they can still pretend that they are all actually made in very limited quantities! if they are readily available everywhere will people still lust after them? If CI had boxes of rats and FFP's in stock all the time I think the demand would go way down. and we wouldnt see people paying far more than MSRP for them. I think a lot of the allure of the unico stuff is that its so hard to find. and we want what we cannot have.
above msrp dose not help a company make money thats all 2nd market pricing. actually i hat to say it but....... CI sometimes has boxes of ffp sitting around. in my area the unicos are pooping up everywhere. im not saying make it a every day production but alittle easier to get like and make a much more eaiser to get line out of the l40s and uf13s since they seem to already be the easiest to get
Because bigger companies are all about efficiency. The FFP and L40 sell for more than the 13 and DR. So if they can stop making those 2 and put more people on the job of making FFP and 40 it becomes more efficient. Make more...Sell more. In the case of the Ratzilla it costs them the same to make it but it sells for more than the 40 so I could see it replacing it.
Agreed. I wish they were much more available. I guess it would take away the mystique but I would be happy with being able to get any of their line anytime I wanted for a decent price. I do have to laugh at CI's catalog where they don't list pricing for No. 9 & T52's...but only say "available in extremely limited quantities"
Lets hope I have more stocking up to do
I will say that the 2nd market pricing does benefit them to a point though. If someone sells a T52 for $13 no one takes notice.....If someone sells a single Bashert for $135, someone knew to the hobby would probably take notice very fast and at least inquire about the rest of the brand....Just food for thought as I head back into hell...aka Hazmat refresher where I wish I had a T52 right now lol
thats becasue the catalog dose not have live inventory like the online dose and the rate could also change on them. they list the prices online. the t52s and 9s are not as hard to find. that line is a prime example of how fast drew estate has grown. at the last event i was at they where gonning to be the most available liga. when they came out with them they where so popular that drew estate didnt have enough tobacco or rollers to keep up with production. as time has gone on that has changed and they have the tobacco in stock and the rollers to roll so they are more available
So where do you guys tend to get most of your liga's from, mainly the HTF stuff. Online? B&M?

Dirty Rat! Perfect cigar size for me.
I've smoked a No 9 and a Ratzilla. They were both really tasty.
The Ratzilla almost reminded me of Esoterica Stonehaven. Keeping the rarity comparisons aside, it was very sweet and smooth. That blend has a sweetener (treacle?) and the Ratzilla was very sweet. That's where I draw my comparison.
I feel very privileged that a fellow BOTL gave me them to try.
@HIM as promised Cole.... The one in cello is the one you're used to....pic looks a little weird from the flash reflecting

Posted this up real quick last night just so I wouldn't forget @HIM . The back story on it is that when they first started making the Basherts for Marvin's wedding, the workers mistakenly took a small group of No.9 pigs and wrapped them with Bashert bands. Once they realized it, they kept them for themselves and gave a few out as gifts. From what I understand there are only about 5 known to be left. It's one of the few that even JD doesn't have I believe
wow LP porn
So over the past two weeks I've picked up two Ratzillas and two Dirty Rats, the question is when do I light them up or how long do I admire their beautifulness (defiantly not a made up word)?
