I smoked a T52 pig a few months ago. They are way past their prime IMO. Just from a smokable cigar point of view, they aren't worth $5. If a fresh batch is released, go for it. Otherwise I'd pass. If you want them as a collector, ignore everything I just said.
I never smoke to excess - that is, I smoke in moderation, only one cigar at a time.

The Velvet rat I would smoke but I think the T52 pig is just more of a collecting thing. I'll just smoke a FFP if I want a good pig!

I've tried an undercrown but didn't care for it much. I do like the #9's I've had and the Papas Fritas are excellent imho, but since they come from the #9 that's not suprising. Haven't tried rats or pigs or the "fancier" ones but would like to sometime. If the #9s don't age well... How long is too long in the humi?

So you DE aficionados, what would you say is the most representative of the brand? What's the love 'em or hate 'em stick? And what's the best one to start with for the DE virgin?

I would say Undercrown. It is in my opinion a gateway to DE. But I have only had like 6 DE/LP sticks.

On the less expensive end, the Undercrown for sure. On the higher end, the #9.

Depends. Are you saying representative as in the one that EVERYONE knows and recognizes?? If so then Acid hands down.
If you mean which has the best combo of flavor and construction to really show what DE can do...L40 or FFP
Start with an Undercrown Corona Viva. If you like it go to a No.9, then T52, then get into the Unicos. That's usually the part of the slope that is covered in crisco, WD40, and snot. Once you hit that point there's no stopping, you're going to slide all the way down lol.....speaking from experience
