Condolences to you and Drew Kayla - that's a sad story the whole way around. Good to hear you're still around though and here's hoping you get thru all of this as quickly and painlessly as possible

I am not out of cigars quite yet, but I did consolidate down to one humidor!
Sorry I have been MIA, my father in law died in a car accident a few months back and it has been an absolute shit show trying to deal with his property and such. We have been back and forth to Georgia to try to clean it up. He was a huge hoarder so this has been an absolute nightmare. Plus the accident was his fault and he ended up killing a 22 year old dad who left behind a 3 month old baby. The family is suing so there is added stress, not that they can do anything to us, just the estate, but still more stuff to deal with.
Hopefully this week should be the last trip needed so things should settle down a bit and I will be back around the bum.
Thanks again Matt, and thank you all for checking up on me

Thanks for the update Kayla, I’m really sorry for your loss and all the stress surrounding it. We all love you and are here for you if you need anything.

Thank you for all of the support guys!
Drew scattered his dad’s ashes this week so I am hoping he will now feel a chance to grieve. He’s been so concerned with the logistics of everything he hasn’t dealt with the emotional aspect.
Yesterday was the three year anniversary of Kelly’s passing. We had breakfast with Dave this morning. He and the boys are doing well. We still spend a lot of time together even though I don’t work for him anymore.
The job change has been incredible. I am struggling with adjusting to a new management style but other than that it is a blast. I can’t tell you how good this has been for my mental health. I was not designed for desk work.
I am still enjoying cigars regularly and now that I can open the app again I will be around again, I missed you guys!

Kayla, thank you for letting us know. You were missed.
I’m really sorry to hear about the accident. I would love to hear an update on Porkchop when you have time.

I love it! You girl, are right where you are supposed to be!
It there much of difference in temperament with the alligator and crocodile? I seem to believe the croc is more aggressive?

I am definitely where I need to be, at least for now. I have to get used to the idea that I won’t be able to do this forever, my body is going to give out way before I am ready to retire. My poor body is battered, bruised, and bloody on a daily basis. Then there’s the poison ivy, sunburn, bug bites, and rashes from being dripping wet all day. I can’t imagine doing this when I am 60.
In general crocs are more likely to lunge at humans when confronted whereas gators usually back off. The Nile, Saltwater, Cuban, and Mugger crocs are notoriously aggressive but they all have individual personalities so you never know. Our juvenile Morelets croc is 4 feet of piss and vinegar and they are usually an incredibly docile species.

You probably have the most exciting job of anyone here. Would you consider yourself an adrenaline junky? I couldn’t do what you do. Know whey! I’m a frayed knot!

Nah, not an adrenaline junky, my mixed up body just doesn’t do the “normal” fear response to animals. My body gets all adrenalined up for dumb things like the grocery store and shopping for home furnishings but not giant predators known to eat humans.
