I got a 5 CT 10ct and 15 CT. I have thought about getting a bigger one but I doubt I need it.

I have a 5 count, 10 count and 40 count. I don't use the 5 count very often, only if I'm going to a buddies for a smoke or two. You can fit 2 cigars, lighter and cutter in there. Hard to cram in 3. If i'll be somewhere for all day or the weekend, the 10 count works well. For longer than a weekend, the 40 count is awesome. I don't have the foam inserts in mine.
So, in conclusion, smoke cigars!

I really don't see the use of these 'herfadors'. I have a couple 40 ct, wood humidors; if I'm going somewhere conducive to cigar smoking, I just toss one of them in the truck. Don't know why you'd need to load your cigars into a different box unless you were taking a plane somewhere.

I thought the same thing. Recently, I threw my smokes in a Xikar tin, the one my lighter and cutter combo came in, for camping. The kids knocked it over at some point, the sticks were on the ground for god knows how long, only god knows what bugs crept all over them, not sure if the kids messed with them, and thankfully they weren't trampled underfoot. One was rough looking, but still very smokable. I need a more secured container, especially if it's hauling around a Ulysses or more, and a 40 count is overkill.

I guess a couple of rambunctious kids would necessitate some cigar armor.
Usually I just take a cob pipe if there's the off chance for an evening smoke. A cob and a tin of tobacco is practically indestructible. I just toss it in my duffel bag.

Sounds like a good teaching moment.

I have never owned a herfador and have never felt I was missing anything. I think they are nice, I just don't see a for one for me. When I go herf with others, I just use a 1 gal Ziplock bag. Fancy I know, but that's how I roll.

A 5 or 6 cigar herfador is perfect for a round of golf. Protects them while in the golf bag.
I say this as I haven't golfed since October of 2018.
Very useful for camping too.
They are a necessity for travel on a plane, or if say attending the CigarBum Orgy.
Better get a case with a lock for that trip, though.
I used a sealed plastic container that held about 20-30 sticks depending upon size. Had a separate tray that fit in the top that held lighters, cutters, matches, etc.
Also have a couple empty plastic ammo cans with a rubber seal that might make a good cigar traveling box; but haven't had opportunity to use one yet.

Yeah. For me it’s camping or traveling. Well protected and not too burdensome in your luggage.
