I'm on a multi day run of smoking a couple cigars a day and my palate is definitely fatigued...I don't enjoy them as much and although the great flavors are there, they're just not that enjoyable. I normally smoke 3-4 cigars a week and in the last 3 days, I smoked 6. Time to abstain for a bit, and reset the palate.

Great point here! Sometimes you just have to back away and do a palate re-boot. Especially in times of oral crises, such as colds, an invasive trip to the dentist, a new mouth rinse, or a new tooth paste. The smallest things can play havoc with our senses of taste and need to be payed attention to.
Debt is the weapon used to conquer and enslave societies and interest is it's ammunition.

Would something like a citrus sorbet reset the palate for cigars like it does between courses at a fine restaurant?

That sounds like something I'd be willing to give a whirl. Another thing that probably has an effect on me lately is the three types of medication for my jacked up back; an anti-inflammatory, a muscle relaxer, and a pretty heavy duty painkiller. Besides being high as hell all the time and ready to fall asleep at the drop of a hat, I've been having the strangest sensation in my teeth.
