I think the remarks about sunlight seem pretty bright, so I would store my cigars out of sunlight for sure. Of course, if light was REALLY bad for cigars, Cohiba wouldn't have been packing their best in glass-topped boxes for so many years. Unless, of course, the glass is treated to filter out harmful wavelengths, which I estimate is just about as possible as acquiring a genuine Cohiba in a glass-topped box. Artificial light is probably somewhat harmful as well. I would think it depends on the spectrum and intensity of the light source, and I have absolutely no idea what would be best or worst.
I do know for sure that the last thing my cigars see before going up in smoke is a very bright light ...
