Bitter and trouble staying lit...perhaps some rest would help there? I haven't tried that stick yet.

FWIW, I've had those same issues with mail order sticks right off the truck, as well as local B&M purchases. My main B&M runs 72% humidity year round.

Also, even straight from the B&M, the Noella Reserva smoked fantastic. I would try one while/if you can still find them.
