Skinny Monsters

Sadly I am sitting this one out. With my wife and I retiring (sort of) and our yearly income dropping a little I am on a buying hold until we establish a live able budget to see how it balances out. Oh well, life goes on.

I'm the same way Steve. I have to start watching my "hobby" spending. I figure I have a couple years stock between pipes and and cigars, so I can wait for good deals and won't chase HTF and limited edition stuff. I wouldn't cry if all I could smoke was La Gloria Cubana's and Joya de Nicaragua's. Damn solid smokes that don't cost a left nut to purchase. Of course, one would have to try a single of this and that occasionally.....

I have yet to try a Monster as well... start with these? Or go back with Pudgy or Lanceros first?

Brent, I would recommend grabbing a Pudgy box. They have rested now and some of the sticks are really hitting their prime.

The main difference between the Pudgy and Skinny box (aside from the size) is that Pudgy has 1 of Frank, Drac, Face, Wolf, Mummy and Jason. It has 2 each of Chuck and Tiff. Whereas the Skinny box has 1 each of Frank, Drac, Face, Wolf, Mummy, Jason, Chuck, Tiff, Jekyll, and Hyde. So you do get more variety from the Skinny.

Heck, get one of each. But you may want to let the Skinny box rest for a bit. I know I am. I'll probably wait a couple of months to let a couple of the spicier ones (Jason, Wolf, Mummy) to mellow out a bit for my tastes.

Like Jeremy said....Start with the pudgies to make sure you like the blends, then go from there. No sense chasing the full size Monsters unless you're a collector as the first 3 are loosing their Mojo.

Me too! In fact, I'll throw a bomb the way of the first person who posts up say, reviews of 3 separate ones. Put "Skinny Monster" and the name of the cigar in the thread title and @ mention me. If someone goes bonkers and does all 10 (I assume there's 10?) I'll really try to make it worth your while!
