Waited until I could be sure of uninterrupted time to smoke this. Viaje Oro Fuerza...5x52.
This cigar amply rewarded the wait over the time smoked. A triple band should've been overkill, however they worked stylish not flashy. Removed the orange silken foot warmer prior to using a guillotine cut of the cap then lighted the cigar. By the way the smell of the cigar more than lived up to expectations gained from the brown cellophane (dated 8-24-14)that smell was of fine tobacco with zero ammonia odor. Very sharp burn line, perfect draw right from first puffs, not a hint of harshness when retrohaling. A well constructed medium bodied cigar with a visually attractive wrapper,Habano?. About twenty minutes into it the ash is very firm with little or flaking. A half hour into the cigar the burn line became uneven but after a few minutes self corrected. Needed no touching up or relighting,do like cigars that do not demand that attention after the initial lighting. The ring gauge allowed me to enjoy changes in complexity, tho I can't name those flavours that intertwine nicely with no hint of any abrupt shifts. My thoughts once the cigar's smoked. The Viaje Oro Fuerza is a cigar I'd never light unless I could be certain of uninterrupted time to enjoy the experience. If you can find one with some age,or have the patience to allow the cigar(s)to age before smoking. This is one that qualifies unreservedly as a special occasion smoke.
