This afternoon I had a 7X50 El Caudillio Maduro cigar.I was digging thru some of my stash and came across this cigar which I had purchased back in 2009; I had forgotten that I still had a few of these. Back in 2010 I had posted in the Old Puff Forum that these cigars were so delicious and Jeff (Commonsenseman) and Mark (Mooster) had told me that they were happy that I enjoyed them when in reality this cigar was definitely a "dog rocket".
I now realize that Jeff and Mark knew that I was smoking a terrible cigar but was definitely supporting this rookie with a very untrained palate. I also remember that "Cigary" had told me that the real joy is in "the journey"; I realize that some of the cigars that he was smoking then are some of my favorites today.
My final statement on this cigar is that it was and is a "Thompson Cigar" dog rocket; terrible indeed. I did top of this smoke with a large cup of hot coffee which was delicious!
