When I was young, beef brisket and chicken wings were dirt cheap. I went to work at a Piggly Wiggly when I was 14 and if I remember correctly both were around .19/lb. People learned how to cook them and now both have exploded in price.
On this Memorial Day let’s remember our fallen hero’s who bravely fought and died for our freedom. A neighborhood kid named Calvin Carrico. He was an excellent young man, great athlete and handsome guy. He joined the Marine Corp and died in action during the Vietnam War. He has not been forgotten.
