I used to have one that looked identical to yours and it does take quite a while for them to put out decent heat. And never does put out like forced air heat. I was pretty disappointed with mine.

My current situation: on my porch smoking a birthday cigar, a Padron 1926 small churchill gifted to me by a French Canadian named Pierre, a couple days ago, said I'd wait for a special occasion. Guess a birthday qualifies.

Had a nice Padilla 1948 on the way home from the brain cemetery. It was a bit tight, requiring some careful massaging, after which it was just lovely.
