I have a poor palate, if I don't let them rest and acclimate they get bitter at some point. That doesn't mean it is a requirement to always let them rest, sometimes it has me intrigued enough to fire it up ROTT. I only smoke maybe 3 cigars a week and it seems I am buying them faster than that, especially recently. Recently smoked ROTT have been Curivari BV Praline and it smoked great until it got bitter with 2" left. Did a flaming purge and got another 5 minute of enjoyment until it got bitter again. Same with a recent box of LC 46, but I think these need more down time than the Praline. Maybe I have a better palate than I give credit for. Nah!
