Smoking Alone or With Others

I enjoy smoking with others, but it is usually alone on my patio, which is fine too...it can be relaxing.

I think I have become split down the middle. I love sitting out on the screened in porch and usually watch a movie or catch up on a show. But almost every Sunday my best friend and I go to this great little cigar bar in St Augustine where we have become regulars. There is a fantastically talented kid there who plays acoustic guitar and sings. They always have a killer selection of craft beers on tap and everyone knows my name. That's become my weekly therapy session.

Me, usually alone. TV on, usually with a book, magazine, or tablet. This is how I end every day. The last of the unwinding. I dont, however, mind a little company. Take a trip with my son to the nearby cigar bar for his monthly tastings. This gives me the opportunity to interact with people with similar interests. After two years I'm regular, first neme basis with the owner.

Oh yeah, this also involves some type of adult beverage. Usually bourbon or whiskey. Always only one (unless I'm at said tasting event).

I do most of my smoking alone.
Occasionally I get with a friend or two to enjoy a stick & conversation.
In these colder months that are approaching I'll wind up doing more communal smoking when I have to go to a lounge to enjoy a smoke & not freeze my butt off!

I gather with friends/coworkers once a week for a cigar at a cigar bar. Sometimes after they finish their one cigar and I am still smoking (I'm a slow smoker), I will finish and even have another while chatting with one of the other regulars. Right now, during colder weather, this is my almost only type of smoking I do; with others. Although I do enjoy this, TBH, I probably prefer to smoke alone in my yard or back deck. I don't get much time for peace with my family, so I relish the alone time I do get.

Most of my cigars are enjoyed at home, so I'd say I'm a lone wolf when it comes to smoking. I do enjoy the club though where your always sure to be surrounded by good people.

I enjoy it both ways. It does depend on the company though. I have a good friend in town who I love to get together with and have a cigar and a drink. Most bars here that allow smoking don't like cigar smokers. Go figure, someone can chainsmoke their Camels all day but a good cigar is too stinky.

Since my son was born in May I have had very little time to smoke at all and basically none to smoke with friends. If I get a chance to it is usually after 8 pm and a shorter smoke, so it's hard to get together with friends at the moment. Hopefully, that will be changing before too long.

When I travel I enjoy smoking with others esp. when I travel out of the country. I get a lot of information from the locals and about the area and then follow up as to good restaurants or places to explore that aren't tourist traps. When I travel domestically I already know about the local cigar places because I've already been there a few times and I have my favorites. Have gone inside only to strike up conversations for hours and enjoy the locals. I like smoking alone as well as it gives me the downtime I enjoy to just sit and think and enjoy music or a good book.
