Don't get me wrong, IMO I smoke well, but I have some that I have never tried that I have had for almost 3 years. It really seems stupid to not smoke them.
Anyone else struggle with this? What is it, some kind of pride of ownership?

but youre not alone. I have a bunch of one-of sticks that I often reach for only to pull my hand back & out of the humi at the last minute. Ill even resist smoking the last of a few 5ers that are lying around.
As for special occasions like graduations, weddings, birthdays, Ill usually grab something I know is good but that I dont have to pay much attention to.
I typically smoke my best cigars solo tbh, I lean more toward introverted and its kind of how I recharge my batteries.
