Every time I try to post in Non Habanos smoked today thread I get this msg.

Not sure this post will even go through.

Is it possible their servers are located at, or near Ian’s landfall?

I got the error Bob posted when I posted this comment. I hit back and refreshed the page, and then it posted. I tried to do the same in the NC daily thread, but it didn’t work…

Chris may have hit on the issue. Not sure, but I think the servers may be in the Orlando area.

I have not got the message you all are describing, but when posting on Tapatalk, kept getting post fail messages, but they still posted resulting in several duplicate, triplicate posts. Please let me know if the problems continue and I will forward on to the man behind the scenes in control of the server.

Is it possible that one thread is too long ? That would be our longest, busiest thread. Just a thought.

Sometimes it says a thread has a current post, like the NC What Did You Smoke Today thread, but when I click it, the last post is from 9/26. It’s has done it in the Thoughts and Prayers thread, as well as a few others. Heck even when I post in this thread, the error pops up. Sometimes it posts, other times nothing. My email notifications stopped the day it started happening also.

I know it may sound silly, but I feel lost without posting, reading new posts, etc… on the Bum. As it is right now, the forum is nearly unusable on my end.

The reason I brought up the server location, is due to us having family down where it hit. They still have no internet, in some parts.

I am able to see your post, but as described, it doesn’t show up on the “New Posts” or “Activity Stream”. A select few posts are on the Activity Stream, but it’s not complete. I have forwarded the issues to @Grimm. Hopefully he is not too tied up cleaning up after Ian.

EDIT: I got the same error message that @allusred shared posting this reply. Despite that, my reply still posted, in fact in duplicate. Weird stuff.

EDIT2: Given the issues described, I am wondering if @Grimm will be notified by email. I will attempt to direct email to him as well to cover bases.
