Skeat, love your avatar of Jerry. Brings back many foggy memories. I see the other living band members are going to have a 50th Annv. concert in Chiciago this year. O the day of wondering around.

Yes, they are. It's billed 'Fare Thee Well,' but I think it will 'fare' them better than the people attending the shows. The little post office in Stinson Beach is sending 3000-6000 rejection letters a day to mailorder senders. Tickets on sale at Ticketmaster Feb. 28, 10 a.m. CST. I'll think I'll just listen to the SBD. But if you go, have a wonderful time.
Didn't even bother with mail order, then they cancelled the presale, figure I'll take a stab at TM, but can only imagine what the secondary market will look like. Definitely not one where you'll find miracles 10 minutes before the show starts. Hope the scene is a little more upbeat than it was at Soldier Field in 95.
I may sound like a total phony here, but I'm gonna try Ticketmaster. If it happens, I'm gonna scalp at a high price. Then I'm gonna buy six or seven boxes of Habanos. Severance pay for 3 years on the road, '92-'95. LOLOLOLOL!!! If I get tickets, though, I'll sell them to you at face value. Jeez, Wabashcr, I used to get into Shoreline and Cal Expo for $12. But I hope the boys put on a helluva good show for the youngsters.

I'm sure it will be a good time. I've seen most of the incarnations and side projects since Jerry passed, and enjoyed many, but it's nowhere close to being the same. I still can't get used to hearing Bobby and Phil sing Jerry tunes. At least that guy from DSO that played on Furthur is a pretty good Jerry knockoff. I'd almost rather have that, especially if they're going to let Trey sing. I used to really love Phish, but I don't need to hear him trying to sing Jerry's songs.
But I suppose this isn't really about recreating the GD experience or even putting on a great show. It's about getting the boys together one last time to say goodbye. I'd love to have a chance to put a bow on my GD career. But if not, I have enough hazy memories to last.
Sorry for the threadjack.
Pretty much the same name, I only dropped the numbers at the end.

It's still me....
